Profile

Richard leverages his decade-plus extensive business and management experience acquired through working with global companies such as Samsung, PZ Cussons, and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (a subsidiary of Diageo) and his multiple entrepreneurial experience in providing tailored legal services to clients across multiple industries, particularly technology start-ups.

In his role, he has advised on cross-border financing arrangements for clients in the manufacturing, commodities, financial technology, petroleum, construction, and mining sectors in Ghana.

He has also facilitated training and capacity-building programs covering legal and regulatory compliance, contracts and commercial agreements, finance and investment management, tax and tax compliance, and employer-employee relationship management among others for entrepreneurs organized under the GIZ's Migration and Employment Promotion Program, the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), the Total Startupper Challenge, the Growth Africa Support Program, and the Africa Skills Hub Foundation among others.

Further, he mentors business leaders under the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurial Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors of many youth-led businesses.

Additionally, he provides legal support for industry-related associations such as the Ghana Fintech and Payment Association (GFPA), the Association of Ghana Startups (AGS), and the Ghana Chapter of the Black in Technology (BIT) Foundation as their head of legal.
